Here are a few thoughts I would like you to know about Metro tradeplate's use of materials purchased from ViTony Graphics. Prior to buying from ViTony we bought from two suppliers locally. One is a nationally known supplier carrying both major brands and repackaged house label brands. The other supplier is a local organization that carries most major brands on the best contract terms they are able to negotiate. In either case the price of the materials we commonly buy was escalating rapidly and we were seriously wondering how we could remain competitive as a service provider and be able pass these higher costs through. In addition to this we had a severe problem with two materials (imagesetting & camera film) in regard to severe streaking. We felt after conducting as complete an examination of our resources as we were able to do that the fault was either in the manufacture or packaging of these materials. We were not able to achieve recognition or relief from this supplier (their story: your equipment is defective--case closed). We struggled to use the remainder of this material, but with remakes galore, we certainly came out losers on this deal. As another case in point we ran into a curious incident where we actually paid more for a roll of twenty inch roll camera line film than we had been paying for a twenty four inch roll of the same material. The explanation was that the twenty four inch price was a "contract price" but since there was no "contract" for the twenty inch material it simply reverted to full list price! Earlier this year when we were contacted by your representative we were frankly somewhat skeptical but certainly in the frame of mind to take a leap of faith regarding your claims in regards to pricing and delivery. After purchasing several rolls of imagesetting material in the past few months we are certainly pleased that you contacted us. Everything you promised was supplied as stated and even exceeded our expectations. The price (less than 50% of the best local offer) has enabled us to provide our customers continued service without increasing their costs but yet preserving our profit margin. In regard to the materials we have been buying we are completely satisfied with their quality and reliability. They have been completely free of defects and in addition the packaging (especially the release of the roll end protectors) has been superior to what we had been buying previously. We are looking forward to expanding our capabilities and acquiring both additional and new materials that you have available. Your services and products are certainly a valuable resource to us as a service provider in the printing trades and we look forward to a long and continuing relationship.

I also wanted to take this opportunity to share a few thoughts with you and the gang at ViTony Graphics. I have been doing business with ViTony Graphics since December 2001. I was introduced to ViTony via a cold call from Sherry Picone. I found her to be extremely friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I had been using certain products for 4 years and was leery of changing product. However, I was provided with a comparable product at a lesser price (what a deal!!) and customer service that out of this world!!! I had experienced some minor problems in the beginning, however, you and Sherry went the extra mile to ascertain the problem and solve it in a timely manner. |
Anthony, I want to thank ViTony Graphics and your associates for the excellent service that you have provided us. When our RIP was deemed unserviceable, we were forced to send out our files for film. It was very expensive and slow. The local suppliers of prepress equipment let us down. They could not get us another RIP for at least one week, and then they wanted us to pay them $150 an hour to install the RIP. When we decided to purchase a new RIP, you worked with Rob Derryberry at RAD Graphics and a new fast computer with a RIP installed on it was delivered the next morning. I was able to configure the RIP myself with some phone support from RAD Graphics. We did not have to pay for installation. The price of the system was great and the service was unbelievable. The technicians at RAD Graphics were very knowledgeable and did a great job with answering my questions. Thanks so much for the excellent service. When the local guys let us down, you came through for us. |
